- The hokto sea geological exhibition hall, a typical Russian style building, was built in the 50s of the last century. It was the largest building in the khoto sea mining area and an important part of the history and culture of the Khoo sea. At present, it is the most complete Russian style building in Xinjiang, belonging to the cultural relics protection unit at the autonomous region.
In 2007, the Russian building was transformed into a geological exhibition hall, and became the first museum in Xinjiang and the whole country to use rare metal minerals as its main specimen. In 2016, the geological exhibition hall was upgraded again and opened to the public in July 1, 2017.
The museum makes full use of the large number of precious mineral samples produced by No. three vein. There are more than 400 geological specimens and exhibits in the collection. There are as many as 94 kinds of minerals, covering the history of enterprise culture development, mineral products and so on. Among them, there are two kinds of world-class minerals and three kinds of state-level minerals.
The old photographs in the museum record the eventful years of the Republic's distinguished predecessors for national concern, fully display the history of the development of Xinjiang's colored industry and carry forward the history of the pioneering and hard struggle of the people of Xinjiang in the early days of the founding of the new China and the national unity, which is an important platform for the education of patriotism and the love of the Xinjiang. Since CaCO was located in the early days of the Sino Soviet Union mining enterprise, the architectural style was greatly influenced by the former Soviet Union. This building is that we can say that the building itself has now become, and so far, she is still the landmark building of the khoto sea.
